I got an anonymous inspirational email telling me to think about the things I love (as opposed to the things I hate) So, that is what I did and I have been smiling all day. Turns out I love running on the beach, road trips, listening to an old Monkees album early in the morning, buying craft supplies from Michael’s, gluten free pizza & beer for dinner, and posting photos of my days…
the week consisted of driving the Oregon coast, listening to great music, camping on the beach, running over sand dunes, exploring tide pools, and most of all…sheilding myself from the wind! The trip ended with a seaside wedding I was blessed to attend! yes please!
I spent so much time studying the Mayan and Aztec culture in college, it was amazing to finally see some of it. The culture was so forward-thinking and yet so violent. In its glory, the temples of Tulum were sacred and only the highest of Mayan society were let in. It is hard to imagine sacrificial ceremonies taking place here amidst the beautiful white sand and turquoise water!
Sailing dream! Along the coast of the Mayan Riviera yesterday. The ancient ruins of Tulum were the end goal, but I had no problem with the wavy ride to get to there…time, phone calls, people in general, everything I know stopped for this one day…
